As I was scrolling through the racks, I saw this dress and immediately thought “not my style but I am in a good mood so I’ll give it a world”. Ladies, I know you know this feeling. Some shopping days you just don’t feel like trying shit on. So on that rare occasion you’re in the mood to dress and undress in the fitting room, you pick up anything! I usually am not a 1970s boho chick but the colors were so hypnotizing and vibrant I couldn’t say no. The loose fit of the dress was right up my alley. And what do you know, this vintage piece is mine!
Recently, at a dinner with my girlfriends the topic of 70s and the Source family came about. And with my recent purchase of this vintage dress, I decided I wanted to explore the 1970s more! The flowy hair and dresses, colorful prints. The attitude that everyone had was contagious.
go get yo’ grove on!! Enjoy!
I don’t think I have to say it but of course, my dress is vintage. From the ever so lovely shop, The Revival Outpost. Being so damn outside in NOLA, I am always down for any piece of clothing that is easy. 90s had it right… slinky dresses, high waisted comfy jeans, and crop tops. It’s every girls’ dream wardrobe and actually now not a dream, reality.
One problem I have with the 90s attire… it’s so trendy right now in the mainstream market that it isn’t special anymore. The 90s had some great pieces but now the general population is overflowed with crop tops and high waisted denim. I have been looking at 90s inspiration all day. So here’s some photos that remind me why “I LOVEEE THE 90S” … yes, I just sang that out loud while typing and yes, I am referring to the VH1 series.
The variety of uber cool outfits that came from the 90s is insane! My particular favorite is Kate and Naomi, so chic so I don’t give a f**k.
I have been trying to venture out of my comfort zone and wear things I normally don’t. AKA these target pants. I bought this vintage button down and realized it matched perfect with these pants! Only took a few months to find the perfect match for this button down. Sorry for the lack of blogging, I am getting my etsy shop together and the vintage section of this site!! Stay tuned for more blog posts and clothing! :)
